Diopside
The largest and by far the most beautiful fissure dioipsides in Switzerland are from the ophiolite zone of Zermatt-Saas Fee. The surrounding rock is mostly rodingite (a calcareous silicate, see Grossular). In addition to diopside, the KLuftparagnese always includes grossular and clinochlor.
Photo (Thomas Schüpbach): Beautiful diopside, 3.5 mm on vesuvian with clinochlor, Zermatt region, Felix Spahr collection, not for sale.
