Ferro-axinite

Axinite is today considered a group name; the ferroaxinite presented here is the most common species of this group. Large axinite crystals were found at Catogne near Sembrancher VS in a alkaline bedrock of the Mont Blanc granite. These crystals are all intergrown with amiant (asbestiform actinolite).
