Anatase

The three titanium oxides anatase, rutile and brookite have the same chemical composition and often occur side by side. Anatase often occurs in dipyramidal, shiny black crystals. In the Binn valley (Lercheltini zone), however, it also occurs in transparent to honey-yellow specimens.
