Scapolite

Scapolite, partly in gemstone quality, was found for the first time in 1930 at Lago Tremorgio by C. Taddei. In 1967, a second cache of needles that glow pink in UV light with stems of 6–7 cm were found. A subsequent find two years later yielded a total of 250 crystals, but the largest measured only 4 cm.
